Magical Little Town
Janet Bludau 40H X 40W
Layers and layers of paint were applied with various palette knives to achieve depth and variation of color.
The abstraction that can be found within landscapes is interesting to me. Graphic flirtation of various perspectives, playing with line and shape, taking liberties to create my very own perfect vista.

The lenght of my bathing suit
Fleur Spolidor 48H X 60W"The length of my bathing suit" was inspired by a photograph from 1925 "Smokey" Buchanan from the West Palm Beach police force, measuring the bathing suit of Betty Fringle on Palm Beach, to ensure that it conforms with regulations introduced by the beach censors. In 2015 I started a new body of work called “Alice", in which I overlap the story of Alice in Wonderland with the History of San Francisco and Paris to represent the schizophrenic state of these ever changing cities. Each painting of this series tells a piece of the story about our everyday lives. In a sense, Alice is you, me, anyone who lives or work in the Bay Area, Paris or any large metropolis and has to adapt or face its challenges. . My Alice series is probably a way for me to cope with a somehow strange or terrifying reality, to try to make sense of things. Between artificial grass and nuclear threat; earthquakes and real estate bubble, we live in a world of information and disinformation, hyper-consumerism and cyberbullying. After WWII we said never again, but we’re our worst enemy. After destroying the fauna and the flora, we cannot stay idle. Women’s rights still need to be protected, black lives matter, and global warming is a reality. My Alice is no Wonder Woman, she doesn’t have any super power. Like you and me she tries her best in a very unsettling world.

Fall 2018
Saya Behnam 40H X 60WColors extracted from natural plants and flowers and adhered dried flowers on canvas. I gathered most of the plants leaves in the Fall of 2018. Together with some dried leaves and flowers, and extracted colors and using earth pigments, I created this piece

Conference of the birds
Saya Behnam 40H X 60WExtracted natural colors from plants, flowers, stones and earth pigments on canvas, with gold leaf and ink. My process is very intuitive. I paint not just with my mind and hands, it is a creation of all my senses. I open to all accidents, or new colors created. I call my process a co-creation with nature. I flow with what i comes through creation.

Summer
Kerri Warner 36H X 72WBook pages, printed papers, found objects form figure, raised texture background, acrylic paint “I relish the combination of contemporary design with the unexpected utilization of found, recycled, and/or repurposed materials. In my collages I use a combination of found materials (e.g., book pages, wrapping paper, fragments of antique hardware, etc.) and acrylic paints to create mixed media works on wood panels. Textured backgrounds are created using joint compound and stencils or by gluing die cut letters and numbers. Backgrounds are then painted with acrylic paint then layered with papers to create the subjects. Acrylic glazes are added to lightly shade and give dimension to the subjects. Letters and numbers are often incorporated into my art, as a graphic element or to convey a thought or theme. When we are exposed to letters and numbers we are conditioned to make sense of them and figure out, "what does it mean?" "what does it say?" The goal with these works is to strip away the inherent meaning of specific letters and numbers and use them as objects to build the composition of the piece. When people interact with them, I want to engage both the left brain (where logic resides) and the right brain (where creativity resides) in hopes that they are free to experience the elements in a new way - to create something totally unique.” - Kerri Warner

Canyonlands
Mike Kimball 40H X 80WMike Kimball is an artist in love with the city. He is best known for his paintings and prints of urban landscapes that seem to inhabit the worlds of both representation and abstraction simultaneously. Drawn to the visual imagery of the urban landscape, Kimball finds the abstract synthesis of pattern and architecture, advertising and texture fascinating, and this is reflected in his work. The subjects of his artwork have been the urban environments of San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, Tokyo and Osaka. "Whenever I look at the city, I end up seeing it in terms of patterns and textures and layered geometry. Its all in plain sight if you think to look for it." says Kimball.

Martin Webb 48H X 72W
One of a series of paintings of boats exploring their symbolic value. Influenced by coastal experiences from the Pacific North West to West Africa, the setting is semi-abstract but suggestive and atmospheric. Diptych ready to hang - no frame required.
My work contemplates fundamental things such as our basic need to provide for ourselves; our desire for home, belonging, and connection; and our being a small temporary part of the natural world’s continuum. These thoughts take shape in images and objects that combine simple representations, layered abstractions, and plain-spoken materials. - Martin Webb, Artist
